The NFL spotlight returned to Indianapolis this weekend as the league’s scouting combine showcased hopefuls for April’s draft. As questions linger over the future of Colts’ quarterback Peyton Manning, former Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck displayed some of his skills for the first time at Lucas Oil Stadium. Luck skipped throwing drills on Sunday but remains the most obvious alternative to Manning if the Colts decline their current quarterbacks $28 million dollar option  and take the Stanford star with the No. 1 overall pick.

Wrapping up this weekend’s event, here are the best stories from the 2012 combine:

Luck would sit behind Manning

Ballard will publicly push for another Super Bowl

The Rams may deal the 2nd pick

Robert Griffin III is the fastest QB

VIDEO: Luck wouldn’t throw, but he can run
